In its 20th anniversary year, Aquarius IT’s co-founders Guy Reynolds and Dave Bailey have announced that Mark Johnston has been promoted to the position of Managing Director.
From the 1 June, Mark will take up his new position; a move that Guy and Dave have been succession planning for with Mark, to ensure a smooth and efficient handover.
This means Guy and Dave will be stepping back from the day-to-day general management of the company, and will continue to support Mark and their shared strategic vision for Aquarius as fellow board members.
Having worked in the tachograph industry over the last 20 years, Mark has been a director of Aquarius for the last nine years and has been instrumental in driving the company forward with new products and digital innovations in this time, including the last five years with the Asset Maintenance product.
Dave Bailey said: “Handing over the reins to Mark is a moment of great pride for Guy and I. We both have an inordinate amount of confidence in Mark, who we have worked with for several years in preparation for this move. Importantly for us, he understands the company and our customer ethos, and he has the vision, and skills to steer the company to new heights.”

Alongside this announcement today, Aquarius has also confirmed that Neil Chetwynd has been promoted to Director of Development and will oversee the technical development and delivery of the company’s software solutions Liz Haselden will take on the new role of Director of Marketing and Operations.
Mark and the team will be at Road Transport Expo on 4 to 6 June on Stand G40 and will be demonstrating their suite of integrated compliance and ER approved systems.
